Penny Jackson is a prize-winning playwright and novelist. Her plays have been produced internationally in Dublin and Edinburgh, as well as New York City, Chicago and Seattle. Her most recent play was GOING UP at The Dublin Gay International Festival, which will be produced again in 2016 in Brighton, England.  Her next production will be I KNOW WHAT BOYS WANT in July at The Lion Theater at Theater Row. I KNOW WHAT BOYS WANT is published at Next Stage Press and taught at universities such as SUNY Stonybrook.  Her novel, Becoming The Butlers, was chosen as one of the best books of the year by The New York Public Library and optioned for film by Warner Brothers. Future productions include LOUISE IN CHARLESTOWN at The United Solo Festival and a reading of her new play, EMERALD GIRL, at the Planet Connections Theater Festivity. Awards include a MacDowell Colony Fellowship, a Pushcart Prize and The Elizabeth Janeway prize from Barnard College for writing. Penny was the only American finalist for The Kenneth Branagh drama award for her play, BITTEN. Penny’s plays and interviews are published by  Penny is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild, The Authors Guild and The League of Professional Theatre Women.
